SAG-AFTRA Strike
The SAG Strike is officially over! Everyone in the film & TV industry can get back to work. However, it appears that going forward SAG will only issue peer advisory letters for SAG actors working on SAG productions. This hasn’t been officially announced by SAG but is information being shared among attorneys. At this point we can only wait and see what kind of impact this will have on O-1 petitions for film & TV actors.
Change in O-1 Filing Location
USCIS is now requiring that all O-1 visas be filed at the Texas Service Center. For many years, O-1 cases have been filed at either the California Service or Vermont Service Center, depending on the location of the petitioner. Now, all cases are filed at the Texas Service Center, and the Texas Service Center transfers the case to Vermont or California based on the location of the petitioner.
