State Department Confirms Vacatur of Immigrant Visa and Diversity Visa Issuance Pauses
The U.S. Department of State has issued guidance confirming that the Immigrant Visa (IV) and Diversity Visa (DV) issuance pauses addressed in recent federal court orders are no longer in effect.

On September 11, 2026, the federal government filed a Department of State cable dated September 10, 2026, titled “Action Request: Vacatur of Immigrant Visa (IV) and Diversity Visa (DV) Issuance Pauses.” The cable provides instructions to U.S. diplomatic and consular posts regarding the review and continued processing of affected immigrant visa and Diversity Visa cases.
